this guy, i will not say who, called me a bitch several times in his posts because i was responding to his posts in an articulate manner. then when i left another post thanking my friends for saying something to him for insulting me, he puts me on ignore and then proceeds to call me a bitch in spanish. well since he put me on ignore, and then left another post to which i could not respond. that, in my opinion, is pure cowardice.
oh and feel free to agree or disagree.

i agree, i've got loads of people on ignore...and i can't quite work out why they put me there. never upset them in the slightest

here's a thought. instead of bitching about it, put them on ignore and then you don't have to deal with it?
There are only 2 times I'll ever put someone on ignore and those are
*when people I don't even know from Adam say hi and immediately ask me for my messenger contact or other private info. I'm not gonna be someone who just gets added to someone's list just so they say they have 600 contacts. If I have you on my list, I know you or are at the very least aquainted with you in some form and you don't annoy the piss out of me.
*when someone's actions just get me to the point where I put them on ignore because I may say something to them I may regret later. I've made that mistake before and really messed things up. Also sometimes the software that's used to control the system may put someone on ignore who really aren't ignoring you, I remember going through my list of folks ignoring me and I didn't even recognize half the names I saw there. So sometimes it's not just people putting others on ignore for what seems like stupid reasons. and really, like Becky rightly pointed out, I really don't care if someone puts someone else on ignore. I know a few people who have me on it and the feeling's mutual, so there you go. That's life.
true true. that actually happened to me once about the software saying someone put me on ignore who really didn't. and anyway, i was thinking it over while enjoying a cup of hot mint tea and i have come to this conclusion. so this person put me on ignore. his loss. he is missing out on getting to know a good person. even though i may bitch and may seem narrowminded at times, i really am a cool person once u get to know me.
If someone ignores you...that's there perogative and there loss as well.
Why not just ignore them too. It's quicker than writing a rant.
Someday I'm going to put myself on ignore and see what happens.

I totallly agree with fuzzy 101, often the original posts don't bother me, it's the ones who respond by saying i don't give a ... that bother me. I mean, somania didn't mean any harm in posting this topic. I never understood why people who don't give a ... reply just to say they don't give a .... I think people's view is, if it doesn't interest us, it's pointless so why post it. I see quite a few posts that i don't give a darn aboiut, but it doesn't make me angry, just because the post has nothing for me. well, as for people putting you on ignore, I was surprised that no ore had me on ignore than they did, but i have 2 who have me on ignore, one i don't remember ever talking to on here, the other, yeah, but she doesn't even post on the boards lol. anyway, when i see 2 people who have me on ignore, i just laugh and put them on ignore right back lol. as for it being a loss when someone puts you on ignore, well when someone actually does put me on ignore, I suppose it's no great loss to them not to see my posts, lol. but i agree with fuzzy 101 totally. after all, if i post something, i wouldn't be very happy if someone replied by telling me they didn't give a ... or stop whining, no wait, that would just give me an excuse to put them on ignore, lol. anyway somania, it's replies like that that keep me from starting my own topics on here anymore except for the geeks board when i have a question about something.

well, I don't care who does put me on ignore, i mean i haveabout 45 people on my ignore list now. somanea, not sure if i agree or disagree, but it's pretty rotten for someone to keep calling you that word after putting you on ignore. I try not to say anything directly about the people i have on ignore. but as for me, i'd rather people just put me on ignore than give me a huge lecture, or harrang me aboiut how i get on their nerves. I put people on ignore for swearing a lot, inparticular, saying the f word, but i'm going to have to stop doing it, because when someone gets really vulgar and starts throwing a lot of bad words around, I just put them on ignore then and there, zap. the problem is, 5 or 6 months later, i'm reading a topic, and jaws says, this user is being , and i find i forgot what i put them on ignore for. I don't take them off my ignore list though, because it's harder to get someone off your ignore list than it is to get them on it, and some people change their user name a lot on here, so that's evenmore confusing, so then i have to find out what their previous user name was, and sometimes i remember why i did it, and sometimes i don't. so now i'm only going to put those on ignore who I think just like to put people down for starting harmless topics, or topics they like to criticise just because they find them boring, or people who have been rude to me personally. But if you knew why i have some of thepeople I have on my ignore list, you might think I put them on ignore for stupid reasons lol. think i'm going to start not replying to anyone in general except the original poster anyway, and just hit the f key and go straight to the edit field to reply. after all, I reply when i sort of or whole heartedly agree with the original poster, so the only one that matters to me now is the person who started the thread. take care and have a great day.
